Genesys unveils a four-layer agentic orchestration stack at Xperience 2026

Cloud Navigator, Orchestrator, Contextual Intelligence and an AI Control Plane target the handoffs where inbound customers get lost between bot, agent and channel.

Genesys used its Xperience 2026 conference in Las Vegas to announce four new Genesys Cloud components designed to coordinate AI agents, human staff, and enterprise systems across a single customer journey. The framing, and the shipping calendar behind it, treat omnichannel continuity as a named reference architecture rather than a marketing gesture.

The four pieces divide the work by function. Cloud Navigator is positioned by CX Today as an “AI-native front door” replacing static IVR menus and disconnected digital entry points. Cloud Orchestrator manages journey state across touchpoints. Contextual Intelligence links identity and history so a caller isn’t a stranger to the next agent. The AI Control Plane handles governance and observability across the stack.

Two of them are live. Per No Jitter, Contextual Intelligence and the AI Control Plane are available now. Navigator is expected in general availability between November 1, 2026 and January 31, 2027, with Orchestrator scheduled for February 1 through April 30, 2027. A2A interoperability and AI-assisted authoring are targeted for the November–January quarter.

Genesys also refreshed its Agentic Virtual Agent using Scaled Cognition’s APT-2 large action model and a Deepgram integration for real-time speech recognition, with an ElevenLabs voice integration expected by the end of October 2026. CMSWire pegs the company’s cloud ARR at nearly $2.9B, which is the commercial backdrop against which this reference architecture is being sold.

Mike Szilagyi, senior vice president and head of product at Genesys, told CX Today that “The future of CX is AI that understands intent, preserves memory across resources and moves the interaction forward until the customer’s problem is solved.”

That’s a specific bet, and it’s aimed squarely at the seam where inbound customers currently disappear: the handoff between chatbot, phone tree, and live agent. Naming that seam, and shipping against it on a public calendar, is how a category stops being aspirational.
