Pipedrive ships Nova, a meeting-intelligence layer bundled into every plan

The CRM's new AI briefs reps before calls, transcribes them, and drafts CRM updates that a human still has to approve.

Pipedrive announced general availability of Nova on September 16, 2026, folding a meeting-intelligence layer into every plan at no extra charge across the 105,000+ companies using its CRM in 180+ countries. The workflow is a familiar one, dressed in restraint: a pre-call brief assembled from logged deal history, emails, and past conversations; a transcription captured through the macOS or Windows desktop app or a visible notetaker in Google Meet, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams; and drafted CRM updates a rep still has to approve.

The framing is a deliberate rebuke of the current category. “Everyone in this category is trying to build an autopilot, and I think that’s the wrong plane to be flying. What actually helps a rep isn’t more automation. It’s more confidence,” said Joe Futty, Pipedrive’s Chief Product and Technology Officer. That posture is grounded in Pipedrive’s own 2026 CRM Trends Report, which surveyed 1,000 sales and marketing professionals: 42% spend at least 40% of their day on non-revenue tasks, only 11% count closing among their most frequent weekly activities, 71% spend ten-plus minutes prepping every call, and 47% say follow-ups routinely take more than 24 hours. Just 23% said they’d be comfortable letting AI complete tasks without review; 43% said the AI capability they most want is help drafting emails, summaries, and notes they can approve.

Nova sits inside a paid CRM (Lite starts at €14 per seat per month billed annually, excluding VAT), and Implicator has catalogued the seams: suggestions draw only from transcripts, not synced emails; Gmail must be linked separately; calendar access is read-only; there’s a single permission set; Slack gets links but no update actions; unlinked meetings produce no note.

The lone customer proof is Snug, an Australian proptech serving 73,000+ property managers and 1.5 million renters with a six-person sales team. “The tool essentially triples the size and effectiveness of our sales team,” said founder Justin Butterworth, citing 30 minutes to an hour saved per deal meeting, a figure Implicator notes comes from a Pipedrive-hosted case study.

Read alongside the self-serve GTM agent work AiSDR pitched last week and the campaign layer HubSpot rebuilt in Marketing Studio 2.0, Nova is the conservative cousin: same admin-burden diagnosis, human approval kept in the loop by design.
