Dapta's $6M seed bets on the SMB response-time gap

Chingona-led round funds a sales agent that answers inbound leads instantly for home services, law firms, and insurance brokers.

Dapta announced a $6 million seed round on October 13, led by Chingona Ventures with Crew Capital, Broom Ventures, Cometa VC, and existing backers 500 Global and Fen Ventures participating. Total funding reaches $7.4 million after a $1.4 million pre-seed in 2024. The company, based in Miami and Scottsdale, sells Dapti, an AI sales agent that answers inbound leads for the kind of small businesses, HVAC shops, law firms, pool installers, cleaning crews, that lose revenue every time a phone rings unanswered.

The pitch is response-time arbitrage. Dapta says customers using Dapti double their prospect contact rates, and cites Aether Mechanical, a Denver HVAC operator, reporting revenue growth “upwards of 20 percent.” Named customers also include Nona Cleaning in Orlando, Baur Pools in New Jersey, and Miami Tech & Arts University, alongside larger logos like Mercado Libre and Rappi.

The numbers around the company itself are the more interesting part. Dapta has crossed 200,000 users, is adding roughly 4,000 weekly, operates in 26 countries, and says revenue has doubled over the prior six months. Superpower Daily flagged that the “above $4 million” annual revenue figure is a projection, not a trailing number. More than 50 paying customers have expanded usage tenfold within their first six months, which is the kind of expansion curve that explains why a seed this size closed at all.

Founder and CEO Nicolás Rojas, previously flagged by Forbes as a rising Latin American entrepreneur, is building against a specific demographic thesis. The Stanford State of Latino Entrepreneurship report, now in its tenth year, puts Spanish-speaking SMB ownership up 44% over five years and revenue growth at 36%, while large companies adopt AI at roughly twice the rate of the smallest businesses. Chingona’s Samara Hernandez led the round against that gap. Crew Capital’s Brandon Deer, who’s also UiPath’s Chief Strategy Officer, joined the syndicate.

Dapta runs on about 50 employees and contractors. The product category it’s selling into, the sales agent that answers before a competitor does, is becoming the clearest wedge AI has yet found into the main-street economy. The structural read: the gap being funded isn’t technological. It’s the five-minute window between a lead form submission and a callback.
