Cuttable closes $20M Series A, relaunches around a Meta-to-brief feedback loop

The Melbourne-founded platform wants small ecommerce teams to compound ad learnings — five weeks out from Black Friday.

Cuttable, the Melbourne-founded ad-creative platform run by A Cloud Guru co-founder Sam Kroonenburg, announced this week that it had closed an A$20 million Series A led by Airtree Ventures and relaunched its product the same day. SmartCompany pegs the post-money valuation above A$142 million; Adweek reports Cuttable declined to confirm a figure beyond “more than $100 million.”

The relaunch’s actual novelty is a loop. Finished ads publish into Meta Ads Manager, and a new module called Ad Insights reads thumbstop rates, CTR, and ROAS back from Meta into the brief for the next ad. Per Adweek, the system also runs on TikTok and ingests Shopify orders alongside Meta content when generating new creative from a brand’s existing photos and videos.

Kroonenburg’s framing is squarely about memory. “Every ad a brand runs tells it something about its customers, but most teams switch it off and start the next one from scratch. We hold onto what each ad learned and put it straight into the next,” he told Capital Brief.

The platform numbers, all self-reported on Cuttable’s own cohort and unaudited, are the real pitch to small ecommerce marketing leads: 280,000 ads run through the system, more than $320 million in Meta spend, 1 in 11 ads returning 10x spend or better, a 4.4x average ROAS, and a 37% account-level lift after onboarding. Creative output across the base is up 3.4x heading into November.

The release lands five weeks before Black Friday, a window when brands have the least operational room to switch tools and the most to lose by not. That’s not accidental timing; it’s the structural bet. Paid-social acquisition at small scale is a creative-volume problem dressed as a targeting problem, and whoever owns the feedback loop between spend data and the next brief owns the compounding.
