Claudeforce puts Claude inside Salesforce with 37 sales skills and a September open beta
Salesforce and Anthropic announced the partnership August 26; a plugin lets sellers run meeting prep, deal-health reviews and pipeline writes from the Claude window.
Salesforce and Anthropic on August 26 announced Claudeforce, a partnership that ships 37 prebuilt sales skills inside a “Salesforce in Claude” plugin, currently in select-customer pilot with an open beta in September 2026. The skills cluster around meeting prep, deal-health reviews, and pipeline updates, and the plugin lets Claude users compose emails and write back to CRM records without leaving the Claude window. Additional skills begin launching late in 2026.
It’s the first time Salesforce has appended its “force” suffix to another company’s product, CNBC noted, and the framing matters. Agentforce, Agentforce Vibes, Agentforce Coworker, Atlas Reasoning Engine, Agent Builder, the “force” line has always meant Salesforce’s own stack. Handing the badge to Anthropic reads less like co-marketing than a concession about which reasoning engine sellers actually want to open on Monday morning. Per Menlo Ventures data cited by Yahoo Finance, Anthropic holds 40% of enterprise AI spend, against 27% for OpenAI and 21% for Google.
The financial choreography lines up. Salesforce plans to spend roughly $300 million on Anthropic tokens in 2026, on top of an existing $300 million equity stake. Q2 revenue hit $11.35 billion, up 11% year over year, with full-year guidance raised $200 million and combined Agentforce and Data Cloud AI ARR climbing more than 210% to nearly $3.9 billion. Net income included a $2.6 billion investment gain tied in part to the Anthropic position. Shares rose 12% after hours, having fallen roughly 22% year-to-date.
Anthropic’s annualized revenue run rate hit $65 billion at end of July, a sevenfold jump. CEO Dario Amodei told CNBC the two companies jointly built “Enterprise Frontier Safeguards” to manage permissions on live revenue data; Claude runs inside Salesforce’s trust boundary through Amazon Bedrock, and reaches Slack via Slack’s Model Context Protocol server. Cloudsheer’s early-adopter note flags CrowdStrike and RBC Wealth Management, where RBC’s Head of Digital Advisor Platforms described helping advisors with “their most time-consuming task: meeting prep.”
The subtext, visible in the Agentforce deployment curve, is that the CRM incumbent is now renting the reasoning layer it once meant to own.
