Sequel ships three built-in agents to convert webinar engagement into pipeline

The Agentic Engagement Cloud launched Aug. 26 with Build, Scale, and Convert agents grounded in first-party audience data.

Sequel.io launched its Agentic Engagement Cloud on Aug. 26 at a San Francisco event, wrapping three built-in agents (Build, Scale, Convert) around the first-party behavioral data its webinar platform already captures. The pitch isn’t that AI has arrived in webinar software. It’s that most webinar software doesn’t sit on data an agent can usefully reason over.

Build handles program planning and event readiness. Scale repurposes recordings into post-event campaigns. Convert is the one the pipeline conversation revolves around: it “uses engagement and audience context to identify the people and accounts showing meaningful interest, explain why they matter and help move the right audiences toward the next action.” That intelligence flows into the customer’s existing CRM, which is where marketing operations teams have been quietly begging engagement vendors to end up for years.

CEO and co-founder Oana Manolache is making an architectural argument, not a feature one. “Everyone is adding AI to webinar software. But an agent can only reason over what it knows.” Because Sequel runs events on customers’ own domains, the resulting signals (pages visited, questions asked, polls, CTAs clicked) belong to the customer, not the vendor. Agents grounded in Sequel Intelligence and its Audience Insights layer inherit that context.

Customers can also build custom agents, and the Sequel MCP Server exposes that context to outside AI environments. A new Marketplace spans five categories: CRM, CMS, Data, Media, and Custom.

Homepage anecdotes (Sentry moving demo conversion from roughly 45% to 58%, Carta doubling virtual event volume, Info-Tech driving 500+ registrations per week) predate this release and aren’t Agentic Engagement Cloud results.

The launch lands the same week as Salesforce and Anthropic’s 37-skill ClaudeForce agent, and the framing rhymes: whoever owns the first-party context owns the agent. Manolache draws the line at replacement. “The goal of agents should not be to automate people out of marketing. People should have the idea, teach something worth learning, ask the better question and build the relationship.”
