Later wires YouTube's Creator Partnerships API into EdgeAI, promising post-campaign attribution
First-party audience and performance data for long-form and Shorts now feed the same engine that ranks 3.5 million creators.
Later has piped YouTube’s Creator Partnerships API into its EdgeAI engine, and the pitch to brands is that YouTube creator spend can finally be measured the way paid search is. The Sept. 24 release says the integration is already running across more than 300 campaigns and 70 brands, including At Home and Jollibee, with verified audience demographics and performance data for both long-form and Shorts feeding a discovery layer that ranks more than 3.5 million creators.
The context matters. In March 2026, YouTube consolidated BrandConnect and the Creator Partnerships Hub under one Creator Partnerships brand, and per Storyboard18’s Sept. 4 report, YouTube’s August partner cohort seeded the API to six third-party platforms, Later among them, alongside Tomato Interactive, Unfy, Precisify, Global OneClick and Creator Ads. YouTube says the program reaches more than 3 million creators inside the Partner Program.
For small brands, the interesting piece is post-campaign attribution. EdgeAI is described as reporting “close to real time,” which means the long tail of YouTube views, the ones that arrive weeks after a video posts, can still be tied back to revenue. This is the measurement gap that has kept YouTube creator budgets soft even as, per Later’s own survey of more than 1,000 US consumers, 94% visit YouTube regularly and 51% use it several times a day. Later claims 55% of marketers plan to increase YouTube spend this year. The Agile Brand Guide’s Sept. 26 roundup noted Later didn’t publish fieldwork dates, question wording or margin of error.
Scott Sutton, CEO of Later, framed the ambition plainly: “No other platform is connecting creator, content and commerce data at the scale we are, across Meta, TikTok, Later Creator and now YouTube. For brands, that means creator selection grounded in evidence rather than guesswork, and reporting that helps connect content to purchase.”
The competitive read is that the influencer stack is bifurcating. Upfluence went agentic last week with Jaice running creator programs from brief to payment; Later is instead consolidating around data rights and a $3 billion creator-attributed sales figure across 20 million creators and more than 3,000 retailer integrations. Different bets. Same audience deciding.
